PROJECT HOPE, XAVANTINA MINE, BRAZIL Royal Gold has contributed $5 per ounce of gold delivered under its stream agreement with Ero Copper (“Ero”) since 2023. The focus of our contribution continues to support the Project Hope educational initiative located near the Xavantina Mine in Brazil. Project Hope was established in 1997 by the Municipal Department of Nova Xavantina City with the goal of providing educational opportunities for students aged 7 to 17 who come from vulnerable families. Ero Copper has had a long and successful partnership with the Hope Project and has been involved with the initiative since 2012. Since Royal Gold’s involvement, student participation has increased from 48 students in 2023 to 140 in 2026. The growth of the program continues to be a strong indicator of its positive impact on the local community. Ero Copper has also helped the program expand its reach by offering opportunities in music, art, technology and education while providing stability, care and a sense of belonging. SDG 2 Zero Hunger: The Hope Project provides children with a healthy eating routine and sustainable cooking practices. The program directly contributes to ending hunger and achieving food security. SDG 4 Quality Education: Project Hope works hard to ensure all children in the community have access to free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education. The project also aims to prepare children and young adults for future employment.
