Pueblo Viejo, Barrick Gold SÁNCHEZ RAMÍREZ, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC | 2025 REVENUE: $129,830,000 Pueblo Viejo is an open-pit gold mine owned by a joint venture in which Barrick Mining Corporation holds a 60% interest (and is the operator) and Newmont Corporation holds the remaining 40% interest. The mine is located in the central part of the Dominican Republic in the province of Sánchez Ramírez. The construction of a new tailings storage facility is planned as part of an effort to extend the mine life. As part of this undertaking, a Resettlement Action Plan was prepared in alignment with international standards. The mine is committed to continuing dialogue and reaching agreements with the impacted communities. The development of the New Horizons residential community near the mine continues to progress. Approximately 310 of 633 households were resettled to the new community during 2025. The establishment of the new community will allow for the development of a new tailings storage facility which aims to extend the mine life.
